Hollow Knight opens an enchanting action-RPG adventure where players take on the role of an anonymous knight quietly exploring ancient ruins and hidden secrets. With a classic side-scrolling perspective, the game takes you on a journey to overcome harsh challenges, fight strange creatures, and decipher the history of a fallen kingdom.

Plot

Hollow Knight is set in a fallen kingdom called Hallownest. An anonymous knight arrives there to find out the cause of the kingdom's collapse. As he explores the kingdom's regions, the knight gradually discovers the dark secret behind the kingdom's prosperity. It all started with the king's ambition. He wanted to gather the power of the Void to turn Hallownest into an immortal kingdom. However, the Void polluted the kingdom and turned its inhabitants into insane creatures. Continuous wars broke out, plagues spread, and the kingdom gradually lost its memory.

THE KNIGHT'S JOURNEY IN THE KINGDOM OF HALLOWNEST

Hollow Knight is a 2D action game with typical Metroidvania gameplay. Players will explore a mysterious underground kingdom filled with dark secrets and infected creatures. Players will control a brave knight named "The Knight" through a series of areas from dreamy mushroom forests to ancient cities. Each area poses its own challenges that the knight needs to overcome, especially dramatic boss battles. Your knight will be equipped with a small sword called a "nail." Throughout the journey, players can upgrade weapons and new skills for the character.

One of the unique elements in Hollow Knight's gameplay is the "Soul Vessel" system that allows the knight to use souls obtained from defeating enemies to restore energy or perform powerful attacks.
